In this class you will learn how to do reverse applique using a domestic sewing machine. This is a creative class, and the end product will be your own creation. The end creation could be a pillow, wall hanging, tote bag, etc. A detailed supply list is available at the shop.

Sewing machine and all notions
Completed sandwich that is 2 inches larger than finished project. Bring at least one (or two) practice sandwiches. Sandwich is made of:
Backing fabric
Cotton batting
Large Colorful print
Solid (or near solid) to compliment the print
Thread: this should contrast the plain fabric on top. Thicker threads will need a 90/14 needle. Bobbin thread should be a color match to the top thread but be a regular piecing thread.
Design paper: several sheets of Quilters graph paper (or regular graph paper) to design your own applique.
Rulers and marking pens (Dotti uses Love Sew Markers that are heat erasable found at Hobby Lobby or the internet) or your favorite markers, for drawing design on fabric.
Scissors: you will need a small pair of scissors to cut away the top layer of fabric to create applique.
