Table runner of the month
Each month we offer a themed table runner kit available for purchase.  Check each month to see what we have.  We also have pillowcase kits available.  Get them while supplies last. Click on the facebook link at the bottom of this newsletter to see pictures of the latest table runner.

The Sew Zone (classroom) is available to rent by the day.  It's only $10 per person per day.  We can accomodate up to 10 people.  Stop by or send us an e-mail to check on availability.

Machine rental time is booked well into August.  Due to the time consuming nature of tracking people down, we are no longer keeping a waiting list. Please keep checking the online schedule via our website for cancellations if you need to get in before then. If you are not quite sure how to book online we will gladly show you how when you come into the shop.

When scheduling you will no longer see the APQS manual machine.  We have the APQS Debbie manual, the APQS Lucey manual and the Innova computerized.  All machines can accommodate a king size quilt.

We are falling farther behind on cutomer and custom quilt work so please be patient as we try our best to get your quilts back to you.    Rush jobs may incur an additional $75 fee.  

As always your backing must be 12" larger than your top.  Quilt top 70x70 = Backing 82x82. 

**When scheduling your appointment it would be helpful to know more details about your quilt.  The approximate size of the quilt you are doing, the pattern board you would like to use, etc. This applies to all machines. Add to the coments section when scheduling.**

Visit our booth on June 6th and 7th at the Nutter Center.  We will have loads of kits and other great items and we will be doing some demos.

 LET'S TALK ABOUT....

THE CLASSROOM (sewzone)

When you are in the sewzone please be helpful and clean up your area.  We are asking that when you are done you police for stray pins, wipe down your table,  check the fridge for leftovers, vacuum the table mats and the floor, empty the vacuum and remove all trash.  Be sure irons are unplugged.  All the supplies you need are in the classroom. (vacuum, disinfecting wipes, trash bags) If you need additional supplies, please let us know.  If something gets damaged or broken please let us know.

ROTARY CUTTEERS MUST BE CLOSED WHEN NOT IN USE!!!!
Shari almost sliced her hand when reaching into the basket where there was an open cutter.

Shari may be putting an "I caught you" - fine you jar in the classroom so that we police one another about open rotary cutters.  Those fines would be used to add supplies to the classroom. 

I could put a picture of a bloody cut on a hand from an open rotary cutter...but I'll let you use your imagination.  :)  

A big thank you to everyone who alread does the things above!!

We are missing several items from the classroom.  Please check to be sure you didn't accidentally take something that belongs in the classroom.  All but one of our Quilters Select rulers are missing.  Please return them (and anything else) no questions aked.  We now have an inventory list of classroom items.  We don't mind if you need to borrow something.  Just let us know and we can write down that you have that item and when you are going to return it.

We love that we can offer you nice sewing notions and supplies but those items are costly.  For example, we have rotary cutters available and when you let us know the blade needs to be changed we supply new blades.  We want to keep the cost at $10/day per person but if we have to pay to replace missing items and clean up after your session we will have to increase the cost to reflect this.

Pretty much everyone is really good about cleaning up.  The classroom is getting used more and more and we just want everyone to know what is expected and appreciated.
